The manufacturing of a set of flanged bronze bearings for a sweepminer of the Italian Navy GAETA is one of the most important and recent projects where Caravel has been involved. The shell, made up of CB491K (GZ-CuSn5Zn5Pb5-B) bronze have been manufactured according to specific drawings. No need to say that the machining and cutting operations on bearings more than one meter long requires great expertise and total commitment.
